DISASTER RESPONSIVENESS
Because we were prepared after Katrina hit, Aduddell Roofing quickly placed a large number of skilled roofing crews in several areas in Mississippi. We’re working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and a number of the largest and most respected disaster consequence management groups.
We can pull from a resource base of more than 25,000 trained roofers, so we can quickly ramp up to help solve roofing problems when structures are damaged. We’ll be on the job until it is finished and we’ve empowered our people to do whatever it takes to get it done right and on time. That’s why our slogan is CONSIDER IT DONE.
DISASTER RESPONSE MANAGEMENT EXPERTISE
Tim Aduddell, the chairman and president of ADUDDELL ROOFING & WATERPROOFING, is recognized as one of the leading experts in roofing-related disaster responsiveness and was personally in the Gulf Coast, where he was the on-site operations manager for the Company’s extensive activities in the aftermath of Katrina.
U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS / FEMA EXPERIENCE
In September of 2005, Aduddell Roofing and Carothers Construction, Inc. (Carothers) formed a joint venture named Carothers/Aduddell, a Joint Venture (JV) to provide temporary roofing service on Mississippi structures as the result of damages caused by Hurricane Katrina. Carothers has provided contract services to the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) for decades, and is a recognized industry leader. Under the terms of the Joint Venture Agreement, Aduddell Roofing currently estimates the work performed by the JV will produce approximately $52,000,000 in gross revenue. During Operation Blue Roof, which was managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and funded by FEMA, Aduddell Roofing was able to provide more than 1,000 roofers that were scheduled in a rotation so that crews were working every day in order to complete that enormous temporary roofing mission in the fastest possible time. It was in the aftermath of Hurricanes Frances, Jeanne and Ivan, which hit Florida in 2004, where the Aduddell Roofing team installed over 14,000,000 sqare feet of temporary roofing.
ADUDDELL’S DISASTER RESPONSIVENESS HISTORY
Aduddell Roofing is recognized as a national leader in the roofing industry. Aduddell has been critically involved in all aspects of severe weather-created, disaster roofing management for more than a decade and a half. The Aduddell Roofing’s management team is considered to be one of the foremost experts in disaster responsiveness, most notably in roofing-related recovery operations.
Aduddell Roofing’s specialties range from storm-wide government-managed temporary roofing services to full-scale, post-disaster commercial renovation projects for a large number of industry-leading corporate giants. Aduddell Roofing has been responding to hurricane destruction for nearly fifteen years, beginning with Hurricane Andrew in 1992.
MULTIPLE STORM FRONTS DEPLOYMENT
Aduddell Roofing is experienced in successfully mounting recovery efforts to deal with multiple storm fronts concurrently. For instance in 2004, following Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Jeanne and Ivan, Aduddell Roofing Hurricane Task Force workers were deployed to several locales throughout the State of Florida. Some of these locations were FEMA/U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-managed, and others were private sector commercial businesses.
As a result, Aduddell Roofing is able to assemble a trained and qualified workforce to attack multiple fronts. Our proven ability to rely on both subcontractors and union workers enables our pulling from a base of approximately 25,000 skilled roofers nationwide.
